On The Line is a song that started working on towards the end of Fall Quarter 2022. Generally a new song idea comes to me a random time, so the beat that was present for the majority of the song just came to me one day and I acted upon it. In my opinion, it feels like a playful nostalgic song. Listening to it, I imagine myself in a school day dreaming about fantastical elements. Showing it in class, I got to various other comments from different perspectives. Some said it felt very videogame-like, others said it felt very technological. Overall, I personally adore the way the song takes you on a journey. I mixed it in a way that it kind of surrounds the listener and draws them in. The way the instruments interact is very dynamic and playful, and it's just very fun to listen to. I plan to finish the song within the next week and for my project, I was thinking of doing a dynamic lyric video to accompany the energy of the song.
